Welcome to the Town of Red Cross!

We are excited about the growth and advancement we have seen in our town since incorporating in 2002.

We are located at the intersection of US Highway 24/27 and NC Highway 205, with easy access to the Towns of Locust and Stanfield on the west, and the Town of Oakboro on the south. We are also conveniently close to the Cities of Concord, Monroe, and Albemarle, and the metropolitan area of Charlotte.

Our Town Council meets the second Monday of each month and our Planning and Zoning Board meets the first Tuesday of each month. Meeting times are 7:00 PM at the Town Hall, located at 176 East Red Cross Road.

We are the home of West Stanly High School and West Stanly Middle School. West Stanly High School, which has consistently been classified as a School of Excellence, has now exceeded the requirements for this classification. West Stanly Middle School began in the fall of 2011.

Several churches call Red Cross home. On Sunday mornings and other times of the week, people attend these houses of worship.

Our community is filled with caring individuals and provides an excellent small-town atmosphere that is a great place to raise a family, enjoy the beauty of nature, or just to visit. Our welcome mat is always out.
